Notes from the Editor

February 2013

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this issue of our newsletter. As we all do what we can to manage our busy lives during tax season, this is also a time to reflect upon the inspiration and contributions in your chosen profession. So many of us have been blessed with the support and encouragement of this group to grow and prosper over the years. Let's share our experiences with others so they too can be inspired to greatness. As we conduct our scholarship awards each year, we are left with fond memories of watching the excitement in the faces of the applicants.

As this organization enters into a new Era of re-branding, new opportunities of influence arise to impact the professional community. It is so rewarding to know that hundreds of Accounting and Financial professionals have pulled together to make this a strong and supportive group. Our strength is in our numbers, and the more the merrier! So see what you can do to attend our monthly membership meetings. Talking about AFWA/ASWA is a great ice-breaker when attending networking events all over the Bay-Area. Be generous in inviting people to join our group and come to our gatherings.
