Welcome to the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance—Silicon Valley Chapter!

The Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance represents professional women in accounting and finance and provides them an opportunity for networking and continuing professional education (CPE) with peers at the local, regional and national level.

AFWA members tap into an extensive knowledge base of accounting and finance professionals with technical expertise to provide solutions for the most complex issues. Our members communicate both through social media and face to face through online discussion forums, national and regional conferences and chapter meetings.

Our members come from all fields of accounting and finance. Some have attained professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, EA, CIA, and CFP. The mix of professionals gives AFWA members a broad range of expertise and networking opportunities.

The mission of AFWA is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession.

Silicon Valley Chapter Achievements

11/9/2015 (Lexington, KY) – The Silicon Valley Chapter of the Accounting and Financial Women's Alliance (AFWA) was recently recognized with a national Chapter Achievement Award in the category of Communications. The awards were announced during the AFWA National Conference held in Pittsburgh, PA in October.

Through focused efforts on social media and communications through a monthly newsletter the Silicon Valley Chapter of AFWA has increased its reach, thus creating new opportunities for sponsors and potential members.
